Some words (original, preserved, rebuilt) can be dangerous when used inaccurately or ill-defined. Join Steve and David as they dive deep into every day words used in the car world because misunderstandings can lead to disappointment and possibly lawsuits.

11:00am- Bringing the 1960 Briggs Cunningham Le Mans Corvette #1 Back to Life
Presenter: Kevin Mackay, owner Corvette Repair, Inc.

The Briggs Cunningham Corvettes play an important role in the Annals of Corvette history. After racing as a team at the 1960 Le Mans 24 Hours, all three Corvettes silently disappeared. After finding the #3 car, Kevin Mackay then set out to find the #1 car. Hear first-hand about the captivating hunt, chase, history and the all-important, documentation. The #1 Cunningham Corvette is a racing endeavor and a milestone of American motorsports history personally driven by Briggs Cunningham and developed with the assistance of Zora Arkus-Duntov and his team from GM. The only corvette of the trio team that came with aluminum heads, it would be Cunningham’s final all-out effort to win the world’s most challenging race in American-built cars with American drivers. It was damaged during the Le Mans race and throughout different ownerships saw many body changes. And as fate would have it, the car was fittingly returned to the Cunningham family, who then decided to fully restore it to its original 1960 Le Mans delivery. At the end of the seminar questions and answers are welcomed.
